The 26th Session of the St. John Paul II Sabbatical Program, which began on January 5, 2026, is now underway! Participants were warmly welcomed by Rt.Rev James Maria Wainaina, Bishop of Kenya’s Catholic Diocese of Murang’a and vision-bearer of the Program, who presided over the sessionโs Opening Mass. The Bishop, also one of the Programโs visiting facilitators, in the first week, guided the participants through a lecture on the importance of sabbatical rest in fostering spiritual renewal and sustained ministry.

This session brings together 33 participantsโ20 priests and 13 sistersโdrawn from 9 arch/dioceses and 13 religious congregations, representing 10 nationalities across three continents: Africa, Europe, and Asia.
